Always hand catch unless I am on pristine (read, clean concrete!!) surface and never had an issue. Just grab the vertical legs and shut down the props. It's really not that hard folks!!! -The Dude.
Yes the tall ones are less directional and will outperform the panels if you aren't really spot on with facing your drone. Otherwise flat panels have better gain.
Yeah the problem is, with a pretty easy software mod they can not allow our birds above 400 feet if people start getting stupid, and heaven forbid cause an airplane crash. I am a novice/hobby pilot and generally consider myself pretty "moderate" and don't like more rules or regs... but let's...
Been a blast so far! Get a decent case and pack it when you go on vacation. Tons of fun flying new places. Next upgrade should be an ArgTek mod. Very easy and is getting me 3X-4X stock range.
I ordered the Argtek not long after I got my P3S, so didn't have tons of experience or "long flights" before adding it, but I can say I can do 10,000plus just about any day with the Argtek using the 3 flat antennas. Yes it is much more directional so you have to watch where you're bird is at...
Southeast Indy with a P3S but lots of hours on it! Having a blast and recently took it down to Siesta Key for some over-ocean flying. Would love to meet up and fly somewhere. Maybe a park?
