Had one stuck high in a tee on my brothers property. Took a limb saw and climbed as high as I could and then cut the limb. Got it down...cleaned up the mess,,,, and all was good.
I think it's amazing that all most all of the posters in this thread started flying like pros right out of the box. Looking at when some "joined" it appears that many posters in this thread have recently started flying not that long ago.
Give them a chance.
Like stated, they work anywhere because they don't rely on cell service. I use Marco Polo because here in the midwest there are areas that have no cell service.
The transmitter on the RC version is about .half the weight other than that I've read of people using them on their RC's. The animal version advertises that the battery will last for 45 days while the RC model last for 30 days. I think I even read somewhere where a fellow removed the plastic...
Okay, I could only stand to watch about half of it. His "long story short" went on and on and on. Something I don't get, and maybe he explains after I stopped watching, how come they took his stuff but ended up giving him back the quad and even more so, the video card?
Not sure where all these output power figures came from but here's a comparison of DB gain between the three controllers straight from the actual testing done for the FCC approval. I'm no rocket scientist and there's probably other factors to consider but there sure seems that in every new...
Lol...I read the thread and was getting ready to ask him to send me his address and I'd send him an antenna with wire when I noticed that the OP started this thread 2 years ago.
It'll be right next to the flight control module (orange box). It may look a little different if it's a vented wifi module. It'll have the holes in it.
Buy a vented one. With the price of the module (almost $200} it's about as easy to buy a used P2V+ for $300-$400 and then part yours out. A working camera and gimble usually brings $300+, plus you'll gain an extra battery. I've got two P2V+'s and both need wifi modules. I'd rather be flying one...
Why would you say that? I've got 2 P2V+'s, a P3S, and a P3P. The P2V+'s and the P3S have ItElite's on them. I hardly ever fly the standard, rather fly the P3P and the P2V+'s.
Before going with the Phantoms I had some Cheerson CX-20's. They've got GPS but no FPV or camera, I used to use a GoPro knock off on mine. They run just under $200.
