I believe it was an option on an earlier firmware but was dropped in an update as DJI said it was not working properly.

Got chance to test at the weekend. I downgraded my P3S to 1.5.7 before applying Magic Power. Results show no improvement for me. Everything appeared to work when using Magic Power. Should I try to use magic power again? I'm in the uk so would have been on CE mode before.

My iPhone 6 is the same. Today I started my flight at 90% on the phone. 8 mins in phone dies. Plug phone in and it's at 48% when if reboots.

I agree!! Some of his videos do go on a bit. Still this was useful if a bit dull.

Have a look at this video. I got one of the mounts in the video and it worked ok for using a 7 inch tablet.

I've looked at fpvuk for insurance too. Having looked at the actual policy I'm not sure it would provide any protection for the flight you show in your video. As far as I can tell the insurance is valid only when you are following the CAA rules. So say your bird fell and smashed a car...

Downgraded my p3s to 1.5.7 from 1.6.8 last night. Now the firmware shows as unknown on my iPhone but as 1.5.7+ on my iPad. The iPhone was connected to the bird when the downgrade took place. Anyhow I then did the Magic Power patch which appeared to work. Can't wait for the weekend to give...

8000ft! That's impressive for the stock standard. Weather here has limited my to just a couple of very short tests. Wind is 45mph today.

Looks residential. My guess would be significant wifi interference from all those houses. Maybe try in a wide open space?

I'm also in the 'couldn't justify the cost' camp. I was looking to get a Hubsan H501s originally, but when the prices on them was around £350 in the UK and the P3S came down to £450, I decided to bite. Still not really justified, as its a toy for me really. But it is a great toy!
