But it's not great that I have to loose some features when flying perfectly legally. The phantom is rather small compared to what is also flying there!!
I am not in Northern Ireland at present although that is home. However that brings up an interesting point. There is the City of Derry International Airport to the west of the country and there is no 'no fly zone' around that airport!? :shock:
I live near an airfield that DJI have now listed as a category B 'No Fly Zone'. However this airfield is only used during the week by personal planes and at the weekend is used by model RC enthusiast at the club located there.

Yea you can't 'drone for payment' either in the UK or the States without a license.
However if the OP wanted to make a 'donation' that is a totally different story. ;)
How do these compare? There are interesting features on both.
I haven't spent much time looking into the former.
So would be interested to hear others thoughts.
The parachute is an intriguing inclusion, if given it works as well as they state.

Also how is this implemented when you say 'add on'?
Is it a physical device that is incorporated with in the drones circuitry, if so what is the predicted impact on battery life?
