I have two Powerextra batteries and 3 DJI batteries. When flying I don't see any difference, but I have found that they don't self discharge after being set to do so, and I find the sensor on the drone continues clicking even after the battery is powered down.
Powerextra did offer to replace...
Thanks all.
Useful information there...much appreciated.
It's good to know that I will get some warning and simply backing off should resolve it. Switching to atti is not a problem.
I do expect to try to get within about 3 m for detailed pictures of corrosion etc. May be limited by minimum focus...
Guys
I have been asked to provide detailed images of a cast iron tower which stands in isolation at a coastal location.
Should I be concerned about the magnetic effect on my P3P compass and if so, how would I determine a safe distance to approach?
So, just to complete this thread, my drone is now fully functional again after having two rear motors replaced. Not sure why this was required and 3weeks out of warranty but very pleased to be airborne again.
Guys
I have today started receiving the ESC error message which is unfortunate as I was on a job and the drone wouldn't fly :(
Is there a software fix for this or is it a major repair?
I have read about some unofficial software giving good results to solve this but not sure about using non dji...
Now that we seem to have lost Google maps I wonder how users are managing with Mapbox?
I fly P3P and have not always had success with offline maps. Is Mapbox any better? Are we expecting Google maps to be made available again?
Any feedback appreciated....
Thanks Bob....tried it today and seemed to connect quickly...let's hope it stays that way!
I wouldn't have considered that option to correct things...as you say, it is just 'wrong'.
