Yes, I have a P4P. I also used them with my P3A and, like you, moved the HDMI controller from my old remote. I'll test tonight with latest firmware and let you know. Cheers.
They are great. I use Dominator V3's, fantastic quality image. I haven't flow since last FW upgrade so can't comment on if there are any issues from latest FW.
That has pretty much summed up what I have learned over the past week. I guess at the end of the day, the proof is in the final cut! Just need some better weather to get out and fly!!
I've just been through this process, initially I had ordered the Polar Pro Cinema series but on doing some research, they are ND + CPL (they may be marketed as PL but from my research, they have the circular adjustment ring and must be adjusted correctly depending on the sun). I ended up getting...
Re the motors going to max, I'm sumising that as you were holding onto the AC and the boat was moving, the AC was not in the place the flight controller wanted it to be in so it increased the motor speed to correct, and, of course the AC is still not moving in the direction it should so it keeps...
I had a similar multi battery charger for my P3A, it worked well charging all 3 batteries in my ute with a 600W inventor. I have a similar one on the way now - Sunnylife 4 Faster Charger 4in1 Battery and Remote Controller Charger 5.7A Big Current for DJI Phantom 4 4PRO 4PRO+-in Parts &...
I would recommend a protective pouch or watching the batteries while they charge, they are LiPo so there is always the possibility they go bang/catch fire.
My other charger had a good fan in it which worked well and while it did get warm when charging 3 x P3A batteries, not too warm as to cause...
I've just ordered the same. I had one with my P3A and had no issues (but sold it with my P3 as different plug). The charging smarts are in the battery so the "charger" is just a 17.5 V power supply that can handle a bit of current. DJI probably won't approve and technically it would void your...
If you want live maps and satellite pics, you will need an internet connection but I think you can pre-cache them and not having them won't stop you flying. In fact, if you are just learning - ignore everything I have just said until you have the basics mastered.
Don't over think it. They ARE easy to fly and there is a flight mode to suit everyone. As mentioned above, start out with plenty of space on a calm day. Take your time. First flight - auto takeoff, hover and then land. You won't actually have to use any control input. It won't take long before...
Hi Jim, you are correct in assuming the batteries have a small micro controller that handles the discharge routine. It also manages the charging. DJI releases new firmware from time to time and usually the battery firmware will need updated too.
