The last 3 cell phones I owned were Motorola. I've just recently switched to a Nexus 6P. Huawei has really impressed me. I just hope Lenovo keeps the Motorola quality or bolsters it.
I had a Galaxy Note 8 tablet, just not the brand for me.
Also, just FYI, Samsung is notorious for modifying the base Android code, which is why Samsung devices have historically had compatibility issues with apps. It's a right pain in the backside and why I have only ever owned one Samsung device and sold it.

Mavic implementation will depend on how soon/different its SDK is released and the Litchi team can get it included into the build. If it is a lot different, they may very well have a Litchi Mavic version, like they did with the Phantom 2.
There are a lot of hikers/backpackers that would love the 750 gram reduction in weight.
I don't think the Mavic is a replacement for the Phantom series, but a different tool for a specific job/need.
I've had nothing but trouble using an iPad Mini 2 and the P3S. Switched to a Nexus 9 and have had many flights with zero issues so far. Could just be my iOS device, but I'm not willing to take the risk.
Are you saying that commercial flyers are already violating the 107 rules? The test has only been available since Sept 29, 2016.
I'd think that a non 107 might have to pay more in premiums because at least a 107 had to pass a test that requires study of the basics of the 107 rules, risk...
Nexus 9 user here. Tried using an iPad mini 2, but just too many issues with lost signal. No such issue with the Nexus.

For those that have any interest, I noticed having signal issues with distance when using an iPad mini. I switched to my Nexus 9 and also tried with my Nexus 6P and was able to get out to max distance with no issues with connectivity in live view or otherwise.
