i LOVE 3.08. was about to throw this thing out the window at times on 3.04 and 3.06... 3.04 the TBE was so bad and at times the thing would fly off in GPS mode like it had a mind of its own. 3.06 seemed to improve TBE but it still had quite a bit of drift, and the thing would begin to auto land...

Question to those who have installed the hero4 on a Phantom already, does the extra weight have any effect on its performance? I know it's not much (12 g I believe), but I also know these things are quite finicky. Does the gimbal appear to be strained at all or does it perform the exact same as...

Sure about this? I was in a restricted zone in Naza mode on my Phantom and it would not launch on any mode, GPS or ATTI. The restriction is still in place.

I have done some extensive research on this, and the answer is no, there is no way to get the phantom GPS to embed into video or photo metadata taken by the gopro. That said, I ended up purchasing one of these units, a Flytrex core 2, and it logged GPS co-ordinates on a separate microSD card...

need... more.... footage! looks great though. not sold on 4k in a gopro due to relatively low bit rate, so will be basing my decision on the multitude of test clips and footage shot on it over the next couple of weeks.

So stoked, I'll be buying one on launch day. If I had a 3+ the decision wouldn't be as easy, but I am due for an upgrade from my Hero3, plus we use our Phantom professionally so should tide us over until we can afford a bigger rig for our 5D.
