This 100%. If I was in a boat and someone was following and constantly getting this close I would be annoyed too. Illegal? Probably not, but I honestly think you're flirting with the line here with it being harassment. A few fly by's are fine, but you were much too close and definitely violated...
Good info. Could you point me to where the actual booking for the test happens? The FAA site is pretty vague. The source material for the knowledge test is also surprisingly difficult to locate. I'm not a pilot nor have I ever been one. What resource do they offer for me to learn the information...
There are some very important things that I wish I would have learned about early on, or at least been aware of. One was a proper pre-flight routine. Like checking for cracks in the props or the shell, making sure everything is calibrated correctly, satellites are acquired, battery is in firmly...
I understand that point of view, and it makes perfect sense. I wouldn't expect to be allowed to drive my car through the park where people might be playing basketball. But at the same time, what if I wanted to fly a kite in that same park? Can they say no kite flying? Where is the line drawn in...
I know many people here are well versed in these matters. I'd really like to know if your county park authority really has any legal say whether or not people can fly there or not. I'm sure this issue will become much more prevalent in the future in many more places. I'll keep an eye on this thread.
Exactly. It might make you think twice about sending it in for a $50 repair. Especially if current turn around times are any indication. Hopefully they will have repair centers that are closer than China.
Using the gopro program, put your 4k video in, and tell it that you want 1080p to come out. It will do your conversion and give you the 1080p. Keep in mind that if you are doing a full 10-20 minute video it will most likely take HOURS. Do it overnight.
I'm interested to see the 4k side by side with 1080p for myself. I still film in 4k even though I have no 4k TV or monitor, which may or may not turn out to be a waste. I guess we'll see.
