Yep, I have the new transmitter and I have always had to hold the gimble wheel up when I start, but that does not work now.

My rotorpixel suddenly started pointing strait down when I power it up. How do I fix this? I did not change ant gimble settings in assistant. Ant suggestions?

Tried various locations. No magnetic fields close to drone I did hook up to assistant, but I am not sure exactly where to find compass values and what the range should be. I can find nothing in the manual concerning dji assistant compass values. Can someone point me in the right direction?

I agree, the ARDrone is a great way to get your feet wet and gain some valuable drone flying experience, before moving on to something a little more sofisticated. I still have a soft spot in my heart for my ARDrone, even tho it's in the basement gathering dust.

WiFi controlled? No thanks. Been there, done that with Parrot's ARDrone. Short range and frequent flyaways due to other wifi signals cross interference.

DK, As you suggested, I connected the phantom pitch wire to the original 1 axis gimble, and yes the tilt works. BUT, when I reconnected the phantom pitch wire to the rotorpixel board, I noticed that the wire that connects the phantom to the rotorpixel board is totally missing the middle wire...
