Help Grounded! Yellow Zone Acting Like Red No Fly Zone

Sounds like deleting the app then reinstalling it fixes the issue. Not sure if this helps but I was advised that if you take off from a position that is outside a yellow zone, and then fly into it, you could have problems. The solution is to take off from inside the yellow zone, then if you...

    Why I'm disappointed in DJI...

"In my opinion" I have a Phantom 4, that was purchased to do real estate photography. Last month I had problems with the video feed. Turns out it was a defective gimbal control board. I took it in to a local repair shop, an official DJI sales center but not official repair center yet, and they...

I thought all of Manhattan was a no fly zone?

In Canada, the minimum distance you need to keep your drone laterally away away from people, buildings etc. is 100 feet if your drone weighs up to 250 grams, and 250 feet away if your drone weighs over 250 grams (half a pound). At least they removed "You can't fly over a built up area". Most...

Flying within an airport restricted zone.......

Also note the Flight Radar24 only tracks planes with registered flight plans and transponders. There are many small aircraft that won't be seen on there. Float planes and helicopters can sometimes be as low as 300 feet above the ground. Airmap is a GREAT app to use to be aware of where you can...

Flying within an airport restricted zone.......

In Canada, where I live and I also have a Standing SFOC, the rules (that change like the wind, so always check first) say that a recreational drone user can fly 5.5km from an airport. Commercial users have to be 9km from an airport. Yes, it is stupid, but what they have currently in place...

Demonstration of why Altitude Limits should be removed

In Canada they limit distance to 500 meters, about a half mile. They also require VLOS at all times. While it is possible to get a permit to fly beyond visual sight, it would require a separate permit for each flight. I don't know if they would issue a blanket permit to fly beyond visual range...

    Sharing the airspace

Thank you for your post. I hope you continue to post and ignore the negativity of some people and look at it like: maybe the will learn something from it. In Canada we are limited to 300 feet AGL. I haven't yet encountered an ultra light, but I know they do operate in my area. Good to know what...

    Big Changes Coming

Transport Canada calls them many things, UAV, UAS UA, Model Aircraft, Drone. Please don't give them any more ideas and have them interject quadcopter into the mix! lol

    Big Changes Coming

    Downgrade to upgrade

I downgraded to GO v4.0.4 today and did a flight of 12 minutes. The app didn't crash...until I turned off the drone, then it crashed. I'll have to try it out some more, but for any work related stuff I'm using Litchi.

"Strong interference. Fly with caution" with DJI GO 4 (4.1.0)

I think if you upgrade the firmware you may be stuck. I was going through my flight logs with Airdata and found the interference warnings started after GO4 v4.0.4 when I look at my log files, everything was acceptable and working with v4.0.4 At the moment I'm using Litchi, and I just got a copy...

    NO-FLY Logic Flawed

Sure glad I haven't updated my P4 firmware. It took 7 months to get a simple SFOC from transport Canada, I can't imagine adding unlock problems to the mix of getting "official" permission. While it won't help any of us who need to fly, having an airworthiness directive issued seems to be in...

    Litchi: Never again, Fah-ghet-about-it

I'm currently using Litchi as the GO app is very unstable, signal problems and changes camera settings when the app restarts. Litchi has had no problems for me, using Android. I have tested out many situations and if the waypoint mode was used, it will ignore the controller until the mission is...

DJI GO 4 keeps crashing Solved; Thx to German Support

Thanks for confirming the site I used to get V4.0.4 according to my flight logs, that is where the problems for me started with signal interference warnings and the app crashing and resetting the camera to jpg quality.

So... Go vs. Litchi? Opinions Please.

I have had Litchi for a year. I needed a backup as I use my P4 for business. Since May, the GO app has had many problems, creating strong interference when there was none before, the app crashing, the app resetting the camera to jog. Since May I have been using Litchi and had no problems. I also...
