Re: Video signal garbled but wifi strength high? Anyone else I had this problem for a while using a Samsung Galaxy S iii - an upgrade to the newest Phantom Vision app solved it. Make sure you are running the latest version of the app (v1.0.38 for Android).

Re: Best Photo With Vision Challenge - Curious Buyer Inquire Here's a shot I took of our Gun Club (Trap, Skeet, Sporting Clays) from about 300' on a sunny day in late November. The original is much higher resolution, but due to size limits, I had to cut this down.

For a controller for Heli-X that works with Mac or Windows, I went to Walmart and bought a USB PS3 controller for about $14.00. Had to open it up and cut the wires that went to the vibrator motors, otherwise it made me nuts (bzzzzzzz). Works just fine.

I found a wired USB PS3 controller at Walmart for $15.00 that works just fine with Heli-X. I've tried it on both Mac and PC - works on both. I had to do some surgery to disable the $@#! vibrator, but that was just a matter of cutting the wires to the shaker motors inside the controller.

Probably 2 dozen good flights with altitudes to 400' - temperatures to 25°F. No issues, no problems. Ground level is at about 5000'.

By following the hints on this forum, I was able to update both the transmitter (with some disassembly required) and the Phantom 2V without any problems using Windows 7 running on Oracle's VirtualBox on a Mac. The only slight hitch was that where I set the Phantom on my desk during the upgrade...
