Auto-focus could be a nightmare, I agree. Pros and cons. But what about a shot starting close and then flying away? I mean I guess we'll have to see how the software and focus actually performs, but abrupt focus changes generally don't look that great. But again, speculation.
I'm interested to see just how large the depth of field is on this camera, because I'm skeptical that it will be very deep or that most people would want to get close enough to an object for it to make a meaningful difference. It may end up being a nuisance. But, if it has manual focus, then you...
It will be cumbersome to have both this sub-forum and the dedicated forum running.
I think it should be separated, just as the Inspire is now. Follow the format of what's already established. Think shutting down this sub-forum and posting a link to the new forum at the top is a decent idea?

I couldn't register, wouldn't display correctly for me and couldn't see the Captcha. Using Chrome. But once that gets fixed, awesome!
Update: now the homepage isn't displaying right either. Just all text.
Is the battery the only thing you have to worry about? Does the gimbal function well below freezing temperatures? Do you guys plan on flying when it's that cold?
You may want to read the fine print on that DJI Care plan. I know that if I bought it here in the US, they wouldn't uphold it when I move to a different country. Just gone, period. The original warranty would still be upheld in a different country, but I would have to ship the drone back to the...
Adobe is great software. Not super cheap, but not super expensive either. Premiere Elements is good for $100, or you can get the CC of that or Premiere Pro.
Where do you guys typically fly? I just pre-ordered a Mavic, and want to get out there. I'm in NW San Antonio. Might even come out and watch once or twice, will probably be a good month or more before I finally get the Mavic.
Any good shops or clubs here? Any regular meetings?
