Tayloss, Once you get your Phantom, make sure you get around 8 or 9 sats locked within a min or so on the ground, then start your recording before takeoff, if you see a significant dropoff of locked sats I would recommend doing the DroneExperts foil mod... from experience it has worked wonders...

That and the fact that people may be going too high too fast with only 6 Sats, and losing GPS guidance once out of view, this indeed has happened to me, the winds can be significantly different at 300ft, I had to fly back by FPV and ground reference when this happened, if you switch to failsafe...

I think this mod is worth doing, the question noes is, what material works best? Copper tape or aluminum? The factory shield that is in place has copper foil. Nevertheless, with my aluminum mod I had 13 sats from the ground up to 1100ft. Never had that before.
