    P2 vs P2V+

I think the main con of P2V+ is the limited FPV range; with the P2 and a good FPV set (transmitter + antenna) you can achieve 4-5km range, probably not possible with the P2V+.

    Transmitter burned out

Yes, you can use that transmitter with the Phantom 2. Why not? You'll need to solder the wires. Just check you have its channels (5740, 5760, 5780, 5800, 5820, 5840, 5860MHz) on your receiver.

Best location for FPV Antenna for Long Range. T-Connector?

Re: Best location for FPV Antenna for Long Range. T-Connecto Just mount the antenna sideways (choose the opposite side to the compass), so it won't be covered by the Gimbal on the coming back. Something like this: (2trickpony's setup)

10.4 KM flight, 5.2 KM each way. With video and flytrex data

Re: 10.4 KM flight, 5.2 KM each way. With video and flytrex Impressive, even more considering you were flying over water. But, how can you even land with 3%? I mean, doesn't it auto-land with 15% of battery or so? Probably you removed the autolanding inside the Assistant Software?

10.4 KM flight, 5.2 KM each way. With video and flytrex data

Re: 10.4 KM flight, 5.2 KM each way. With video and flytrex Excellent. Three questions: 1) What % of battery you turned around, and what % of battery you landed? 2) Which mods to your transmitter? The TP-Link antenna mod or something else? 3) Did you fly in ATTI or GPS mode? Thanks! :D

    GPS Tracking - Prevent Loss

Here's my forum thread about this GPS locator: http://www.phantompilots.com/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=12451&p=111562 after some flights, I'm NOT happy with it; yes it's small and only weights 27 grams, but it's showing many issues... sometimes doesn't power on, I can hear the power-on tone but the...

Installed H3-3D on Original Phantom 2

Excellent solution! I'll buy the H3-3D soon, but I don't wanna cut the hole in my P2 neither, and this seems the best workaround without using the adapter which I haven't seen for sale yet. Thank you.

Put boscam 7 inch monitor on dji transmitter

Yes, it's possible; I have the same mount (with the Boscam aswell). Personal opinion: I don't recommend it because, with that bracket, the monitor will cover the top TX sticks. Watch this video where I show 3 different mounts (this one is #2 at 00:33) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=orCi1wWQT6E

    6km, 3.8miles, long distance flight

Nice video, but what happened exactly at 1:30? Is that a Phantom problem or a Gimbal problem? Also, knowing you were about to do a long range FPV on the sea, why did you take off with 89% battery? Always start with a 100% battery, that 10% more can save your Phantom's life!

    FPV monitor mount

Hey guys, i just wanna recommend this mount. I own three different monitor mounts and this is the one I prefer; I have the BlackPearl 7" and the Boscam RX-LCD5802, perfectly fits them. Here's a short video where I show the 3 different brackets with the BlackPearl, this one is the #3...

RANGE? Immersion 600mw tx, with Spironets

Having a good helical antenna, any reason I should be getting the ImmersionRC DUO receiver instead of the UNO? Asking this because the DUO costs almost 3 times more then the UNO, but I think that in a diversity setup (with a helical antenna + a cloverleaf antenna) the DUO catches the signal from...

    GPS tracker - RF-V16

eBay. Here's a sample link, but I got it with an auction: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Real-Time-GSM-Mini-GPS-Tracker-GPRS-Tracking-SOS-Communicator-RF-V16/400592722269

    GPS tracker - RF-V16

I verified it's a true GPS and is pretty accurate aswell (chip sirf4). Only if it doesn't get the GPS signal, then relies on the cell triangulation, but in open sky it should be always be getting good GPS.

    GPS tracker - RF-V16

Hey guys, scared of losing 1500$+ of equipment during FPV, in case of a crash, I installed a mini GPS tracker on my Phantom 2. Model "RF-V16", weights 27 grams, works with a micro-SIM. Mounted on the leg diametrically opposed to the compass. I just made some tests with my car, and it seems to...

    6km, 3.8miles, long distance flight

Question about the antenna mod: because the connector on the TX is fixed on the board with silicon and could be tricky to disconnect, do you think would be OK to just cut off the wire of the old antenna and solder the new one with the part coming out of the connector? Keeping the old connector...
