    Battery Temperature High!

Is it puffed? Seems dead, judging by your description. Be careful, especially when charging. If there's some internal damage or something, the battery could end up in flames. I would not attempt to fly with a battery like this.

    battery storage length?

Yes. Unless you have the newest firmware, including battery firmware with self-discharge set to a low number of days to begin discharge (iirc, they begin self-discharge after 10 days by default), but you can reset the timer by pressing the button on the battery. If you happen to not use some of...

Is it possible that DJI batteries lie about their capacity?

Interesting mod in the Vision subsection (I don't usually view threads there) for reference 6600mAh Stealth Battery Mod ... (27.5 minute flight times)

Is it possible that DJI batteries lie about their capacity?

The reason I couldn't find the size/capacity was that I was looking for 15-20C, although in the past in discussions I mentioned the discharge rate could be 10C. They were probably good enough when the Phantoms weren't carrying anything back in the day and were under 1kg total weight. But later...

Is it possible that DJI batteries lie about their capacity?

Ok, nevermind, I found these Multistar packs http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__69287__MultiStar_High_Capacity_3S_5200mAh_Multi_Rotor_Lipo_Pack_EU_Warehouse_.html This then explains the problem though. With a 10C rated discharge, provided that the specs for the ESCs are correct in the...

Is it possible that DJI batteries lie about their capacity?

I have been studying two of my dead batteries the last couple days. Both show 50% on the LEDs, but actually are at 10.8V and unsafe to fly. One had about 75 cycles, the other 55 or so. I'm sick of these inferior pieces of sh** and want to refurb them. I spent hours today looking for the correct...

    Yaw and pitch modification kits

For sale are two versions of this popular mod, specifically designed for easy installation with very high quality parts. The standard yaw kit includes a 3 position (off, slowest, slower) switch with LED indicator and the pro kit has two 6 position rotational switches for both yaw and pitch...

    Where to buy P2 batteries?(Europe)

Can't believe they're still asking over 100 Euro for those unreliable heaps of poo.

    P4 Verge Not for Everyone

One of the previous DJI videos had drones zooming through the woods and avoiding obstacles. This will not be the case. Although as someone has mentioned, Intel has demonstrated real-time obstacle avoidance and the ability to keep going.

Save your money kids... (If you're a P3 owner)

Back in the P1 and P2 days, you really didn't have a much of a choice. Today it makes sense to be cautious what the upgrades are and see if the many other manufacturers have something better to offer. I personally like the direction Yuneec is going in.

This is false. If you search around, the actual profit margin on an iPhone 6 is around 16%. The cost of manufacturing is indeed low, but you're not accounting for R&D, stores, employees, marketing and so many other things. Those things don't appear from thin air for free.

Save your money kids... (If you're a P3 owner)

What would interest me more, provided they never realease the info, is whether the batteries have higher discharge rates and/or are of better quality than the P2 and P3 batteries. €169 is pushing it when in comes to batteries. Turnigy now has "Graphene" batteries that have high discharge rates...

Not necessarily. The object image recognition and other features are going to be a processing power hog when used. I would not expect flight times more than a couple minutes longer than P3.

Why DJI may be shooting itself in the foot with the P4

This will not save you then. When orbiting, the sensors will be facing you, while the craft is orbiting to one side. If the tree is in the trajectory of the orbit, the sensors will not stop the Phantom from hitting it, simply because they're facing the wrong way.

    P4 Verge Not for Everyone

In the Tested intro the video quality is atrocious. As it flies, you can see as if a poor frame rate, possibly due to shutter speed and the exposure is having trouble coping with the color a detail of the grass. The last time I saw video like that was the P2V.
