Wow. Guess there's nothing to learn from this. Similar to a car misfiring at 66 mph and since maximum speed limit is 65 mph ignoring the problem?
Yes, lesson learned here.
Thanks for your reply.

Funny, I didn't see that. I stated I didn't want to "visit" the legal, moral, and ethical arguments, and the phantom was doing it anyway.
Thanks for the reply, and I appreciate the humor.

Thanks. There was no compass error warning and it didn't behave like this error (flying all over and uncontrollable). Flew in a manner like Mavic's Tripod mode, only with no throttle response.

Took off in P mode Opti from 3rd story balcony. Drone was automatically in Opti because only had 4 satellites. Please I don't want to visit the legal, moral, ethical issues I violated. Ascended 3 ft, flew over railing flew out 20 feet and phantom would not gain altitude with full up on left...
Using Fatsharks is like sitting way back in the theater from the screen. You're essentially looking at two real small screens with not great resolution. Have enjoyed the Litchi FPV VR, split screen on an iPhone much more. Way bigger, immersive screen/ experience. Also using your smart...
What ever the price of the battery for the Phantom 4 it is substantially more than the full retail price of extra batteries for the Mavin ($89.95 with equal or a longer flying time). Another check in the plus column of the Mavic.
Not trying to hijack the thread here.
Staying off topic:
4. I've forfeited any chance of having a good samaritan return my flyaway drone because there was no registration number to track my name and address.
I was talking about "suggested retail price" for both products from DJI. It's not comparing apples to apples to compare the cost of a battery for a hot new product (Mavic) to the eBay discount sellers price of batteries for an older product line (Phantom 4) just after the release of the Mavic...
Nobody's mentioned that the battery for the Mavic is selling for $89.95 as compared to the Phantom 4's for $169.95. Slightly more than half as much as the Phantom's. That seems like a huge benefit for all the people who like to have multiple batteries (some have as many as 10?). Half the...
I'll try explaining this.
You register yourself with the FAA, you get a number assigned to you by the FAA, specific to you. Then.... you put this one specific number, YOUR NUMBER, on all of your drones and fly.
If you crash, the FAA can find out whose drone it is by looking up whose name and...
Why couldn't one use a tennis racket to land on. More equipment to carry around I understand but it would protect the fingers. Not my first choice however.
DJI says they will be shipping mid to late October. Apple declares the Mavic will be available early November. I'm just afraid that like the Phantom 4, Apple will begin selling the Mavic early, out of their retail stores mid October. About the same time DJI is shipping.
I don't mean to sound...
