Only reason I wouldn't use CF props is that I like the way the stock props break in an accident. I'd rather the prop break then something else, like say the motor or shaft.
I guess the restricted safety zones are a work in progress. Here in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, I see many airports missing, the largest being Love Field.
I just ordered a new shell, battery, and props from helipal.com Shipping to the US is high but they have a good selection of parts, they have the vision camera along with the rest of the "guts"
Legally, at least in the US, you have to be able to control the P2V during the entire flight. So yeah, it would need WIFI connection the entire route which would allow you to control it through the ipad in an emergency situation.
Exactly, the part I wanted to see was gone. I'd imagine this is due to unexpected power loss while recording. It would be nice if it had a small cell battery to allow it to at least wrap up the video. I've read that the gopro video's have the same issue.
I got a little to comfortable with my flying couple evenings ago, figured out the local trees were indeed a bit taller than 20M. Clipped the tip of a tree and crashed in vines/limbs at around 25MPH.
The sun went down before I could get a visual on the P2V so using Find my Drone or whatever...
These would probably be just fine and an upgrade to the stock propellers. I'd imagine the existing props are made in China as well. The rest of the P2V is.
