It is setable (is that a word?) but I believe 30% is default. Video can be lost without losing control, Can also be set to hover if signal is lost as others above stated.

I believe that it wont do RTH until the battery gets low. It should hover until either you regain control or the battery gets low.

Get a set of visegrip clamps/pliers ( Vice Grip C Clamp Pliers: Amazon.com ) and put rubber pads on the pads. Not sure it will work but it might give you an idea.

Limited (weather issues and work) beta testing but it worked as promised after first glitch. At first My Ellipse 7 only gave a dark screen, posted at vertical and it was fixed within 48 hours. Not perfect, if object blends with background it can get lost, but then I have that problem with naked...
