    Notify the control tower

It is, because all manned aircraft in the airspace are talking to the control tower with some very limited exceptions. If ATC knows there is RC activity in a given area, they will warn pilots, generally by putting the information into the recorded ATIS broadcast that aircraft are supposed to...

    Status of No Fly Zone

Alternatively, fly someplace where it's not literally a crime to fly a drone? As an airplane pilot in the northeast I hate the DC SFRA/FRZ too, but it's been over a decade and it doesn't seem to be going anywhere.

Washington DC No Fly Zones and Phantom 3

Lots of us don't like the SFRA/FRZ, but it's not going anywhere. Also note that it's legitimately a crime with jail time to fly anything in the 12-15mi FRZ without permission. And it wouldn't have to be an FAA inspector finding you flying to enforce it.

    New York City

The Statue of Liberty is terrible airspace to fly in from a safety perspective. You have tour helicopters flying around the statue at 500 feet and below and lots of other VFR aircraft flying under 1000 feet to take advantage of the Hudson River VFR corridor for both the view and to avoid...

    B&H is Back!

Yeah, was wondering why you'd need to wait for them to be back from the holiday.

    Flying Indoors

Guessing probably this feature is their intent:

    P3P vs Inspire1

You'd have to use a bluetooth GPS unit with the iPad since I'm pretty sure most Lightning ones only allow power through, not the data you'd need to allow for the Pilot app.

    P3P vs Inspire1

Yeah, but my impression is that most people get the Wifi-only iPad, so not calling it out would suggest it's in the controller or DJI did a terrible job of listing requirements. Doesn't impact me since I do have the mobile data/GPS version of the iPad (which I bought so I could use Foreflight...

    P3P vs Inspire1

Are you sure? I mean, if you use an iPad that wasn't purchased with the additional $130 mobile data option it won't have a GPS built-in since it's the same added chip that provides both. Wifi-only iPads use seen Wifi networks to come up with an approximate guess at where you are. And this...

    Youtube livestreaming

Presumably, you plug the USB cable from the Phantom controller into your phone or tablet which carries the video (and some other data) from the Phantom, and then your phone or tablet uses a Wifi or mobile data connection to send the video to YouTube in real-time.

How does controller transmit video to iPad/iPhone?

Another option (albeit an expensive one assuming prices stay the same) is to get a LightBridge unit as a receiver and use video out from it.

    Just bought the P3 Pro!

They are not per the FAQ DJI posted.

How does controller transmit video to iPad/iPhone?

This is incorrect. Apps can access data from the Dock or Lightning port. There are a number of devices out there that use that connection; I have a blood pressure cuff that does for example.

Which colors are the Phantom 3?

You must have been off the Internet for a week to a week and a half around the end of February. Or at least off any social media. Or news outlets reporting on it. lol

    Best Place to Pre-Order P3?

In my case it's Chris Christie, so I'm fine with it.
