    flying below takeoff point (home)

Yes I've read a few posts saying that and it makes sense. I may have experienced it once with a 45 m drop from the sky from 50 m. Was very close call. Drone was out of sight and I didn't know till I watched the footage later. Sent from my iPad using PhantomPilots Hmm. I don't actually think...

    How cold will you fly

Me getting cold dictates the temperature that I'm prepared to fly in. I've flown in circumstances where there has been deep lying snow but with a very still wind so no wind chill factor. However, I had a fly yesterday using a P2V+ in a measured temperature of 6c and had to cut the second flight...

    Remote quits working mid flight

What is the orientation of your remote's antenna? You aren't having it pointing directly at the aircraft, are you? Also check the one on the aircraft. Is it still fixed to the leg pointing downwards? I never fly beyond VLOS, so have never flown my P more than 1300ft away but I always have...

Video & pics don't save after battery change. ?

OK. I just though of the possibility of your card being too full. I know that after two flights of my P, my video files take up more than 2g...indeed nearer 3g.

    Brand new older phantom

IMHO not crucial at all. Last time mine was updated was something like June 2015. Indeed, I've only ever updated the firmware once. If it flies good then don't update. Only thing you need to do is a compass callibibration if you move to a new take off area that is a good distance from the last...

    flying below takeoff point (home)

Your aircraft will continue a controlled decent until you stopped descending. The motors will NOT stop when it goes below it's take-off height. I have often flown my P below it's take-off height with no problems.. Be mindful, though, that once your controller is, in effect, above the aircraft...

Video & pics don't save after battery change. ?

Dunno if this helps, but I use a 4g card in mine. Could it be simply because the file from the second flight is simply too big to fit on what's available after the first flight? Just a thought.
