No. I run the H3-3D on standard landing gear fine. Yes the gimbal lightly taps the ground during its start up process, but its not an issue that justifies larger landing gear, especially with all the downside of larger landing gear.

The batteries are so new that the connections are still clean. I performed a full discharge / recharge cycle and flew again yesterday without issue. I have added "check battery fully inserted" to by pre-flight checks as that is all I can think of.

It is not an issue when you move slowly on that axis unless it is very windy. That applies to 1.08 anyway, don't know about later versions. If you film in 2.7K you can trim the sides later down to 1080.
