    Let's Have a Techie Snow Talk ...

I keep a couple of desiccant packs in the case to lessen the chance of moisture in places it shouldn't be.

    Dog goes crazy

A lot of it may be the prop noise. My dogs go nuts whenever I'd start the props spinning. I put the low noise props on the Mavic Pro and they no longer cared. Plus the Mavic 2 Pro has the low noise props and they ignore it too. The P4P is the worst, they go absolutely crazy.

    Liability insurance for P4P

I have State Farm PAP on my drones and my camera equipment. I have also verified with my agent that my home owners insurance will cover any liability.

    Winter Flying

If the temperature is below freezing and the humidity is fairly high, it is definitely a possibility. I read this tip on a forum, may have been here, before I ever flew in the winter. I have Rain-X on hand for my pick-up, so I've never flown without it and thus have never had ice form.

    Goodbye

Sorry to see you go. I hope the Evo performs great for you. Stop back in and let us know how it goes.

    How often do y'all fly?

I try to fly every day. When the weather is bad, like today, I put prop guards on the Mavic Air and fly indoors.

    Winter Flying

Also, I put a small amount of Rain-X on both the AC and props. It helps keep ice from forming.

Why not put the spare stickers on your props!!!

I agree with what other folks have said about it decreasing the prop's effectiveness. The other thing is that it's butt ugly.

    Winter Flying

I keep my batteries in inside pockets so body heat helps keep them warm.

What's currently the best place to sell personal drone footage?

Well, since I'm not an attorney, I know better than to give definitive advice - that could get me in trouble.

Service pricing for Phantom repairs / Part lists

I think Thunderdrones has a price list, at any rate, he'll tell you what stuff costs up front. He's in Duluth GA and is a great guy, he's helped me out a couple times. Rob Schwartz Thunderdrones 2615 Landington Way Duluth, Georgia 30096 Tel (678) 763-4427 [email protected]

    Gloves for flying

I have a pair of gloves that have a flap and a slit in the index finger and thumb so you can stick your finger out when flying and the flap covers the slit when you're not. They are listed as being for photographers on Amazon.

What's currently the best place to sell personal drone footage?

I don't think so. It doesn't matter if you do it part time or full time, if the flight wasn't strictly for fun, you have to be 107.

Temporary Flight Restictions In The Phoenix are for the weekend 10-20-18.

He's in Nevada today, got a FAA alert email, don't recall exactly where, it didn't have anything to do with me so I didn't pay much attention.

    Contrails, ears, and other distractions

A couple years or so ago, there was a Western, I don't remember which one, that one of the scenes had contrails in it.
