Bought a P3 instead.

This was checked along with every thing else on RC and Vision 2 assistant. Every thing that can be checked was 100% ok. The FC was the problem.

This is exactly what was happening to mine before it got worse to the point that all the controls become delayed or sluggish at best. Still cannot fly until someone (come on DJI) can explain if this is a software problem or hardware.

Ok, I understand why you cannot evaluate when the drone is held down and you try to fly. Sorry it took a while to sink in! However, if all pre-flight checks are complete and CSC is done to activate the props but you do not try to fly what could cause the motors to rev up and down of their own...

Couldn't wait for tomorrow so I have just tested the drone now in manual (by changing Failsafe to Manual on assist) while holding it down (just in case). It was a good job because I started the motors with S1 on GPS as soon as I switched S1 down to manual mode the motors increased to high revs...

Looks like sound advice. Is there a way of checking the ESC's? I will check the motors again tomorrow but I don't recall a hot one. When testing, while holding the drone down, the speed increased by itself it got to the point where the motors seemed to be going too fast and started vibrating...

Glad to hear that you also think the ESC could be the problem. I have put them on the shopping list.
