Unfortunately If you do that, you'll be putting 2 (variable) resistors in parallel. Doesn't work that way. It should be one pot or the other.

Thank you for this! Version 2 caused a lot of drift for me now that I have moved my P2Z off the bench and outside to calibrate. This seemed to have solved the problem (for now!)

Most of the styles are available in clear lenses if you need correct colour. Other than the small magnification and UV reduction it's controversial if they help reduce eyestrain but your line of work is what these are designed for. I'm sure there are competitors out there
