Same thing happened to me. I was flying out over a lake was about 2 miles out and I saw several drops hit the lens. I flew back immediatly landed let the drone dry for a few hours. I have flown it several times since. I don't think a couple drops will do any harm.

I have no experience or first hand knowledge of actually using VR goggles. I am thinking of going this same route using Litchi app & BlitzWolf VR goggles. My only thoughts about going this route without using the hdmi module along with my tablet is if you put your phone in the VR goggles...

I'm not sure if anyone knows the answer to this yet, but do you speculate that with the new OcuSync that the DJI Goggles use, would be compatible with the Phantom 3/4 Models?

I have left mine on for 2-3 days & nights and as long as I close out any apps or games running in the background, I have never had an issue with the battery draining that fast.

I stand corrected after seeing your post I did another search and found this article Nvidia Shield vs Nvidia Shield K1. It also doesn't come with a charger or cord. Sorry for the mis information.

Nvidia Shield isn't a tablet its a gaming device/android TV console. The Nvidia Shield K1 is the tablet. There is an Nvidia shield portable that has a game controller with screen included.

Don't feel stupid, I learned it from the same scenario as yours. i was flying over a lake and lost all orientation to where I was flying. I thought from the view on my screen I was returning to the shore, but realized it was the wrong shore :P I finally just stopped and then switched views...

You can also just let go of the sticks, let it hover then swap screens from FPV to the map and look at where the Phantom is in relation to you, and then bring it back to you.
