    Drones and wild life

We had herds of deer come through our yard all the time in New Jersey. The solution is simple. A good paintball gun posted up in your window, preferably the bathroom window, preferably the second story. Then just shoot them deer when they come in your yard. Easy as pie. The paint is...

New P4P crashed into a building - GPS and no VPS/OAS didn't work

left stick push left or right. I mean. If you were drifting towards a wall, just strafe opposite of it. I feel like that's a super basic move... am i wrong? Sorry to hear about the crash, glad no one was under it when it fell.

    Dealing with people

It says stand clear because interfering with a drone pilot is dangerous and is a crime. IMO the "stand clear" is too much but you can have it say anything like "Please Don't Interfere" or "Please Stand Back" or whatever...

    Dealing with people

i hit submit before finishing... When you wear a blaze orange vest identifying yourself it's hard for people to accuse you of spying. And it helps people feel confident with your capabilities and intentions. I started wearing a blaze orange vest when doing a many things outdoors like dog...

    Dealing with people

Get registered/certified with the FAA and where one of these Safety vests for FAA registered and/or licensed/certified Part 107 and Part 333 drone (UAV, UAS, sUAS, unmanned aircraft) pilots

P3S's prop flies off mid flight

this is an inherent defect in the design (among many others), compounded by you probably not tightening them enough as just mentioned. That is why the P4 has quick snap on props that can't spin off. Props that spin off and on is such a dumb idea.

Had my first crash today (and it was completely my fault!)

So glad it was only minor damage! Could have been a lot worse! While everyone is saying don't push it. I disagree! As long as you are way out there with no one around i say push those limits! You will grow in your piloting skills and learn fast how the bird behaves and reacts. I do agree though...

So, today was my first proper flight...

Were you flying within VLOS? As per FAA Rules? And why did you say "Unexpected where I am."... based on your photos that is like puuurrrrfect small aircraft flying territory. Flat grassy fields, no tall buildings. I'd take a small personal aircraft up there any day of the week. As a new drone...

First flight - very negative experience with person on the ground.

I've been watching drone/RC Airplane footage which is really cool because they can fly for hours and they don't produce a huge prop wash etc. They are not nearly as loud as quad copters and they don't disturb as much. Also it's cool to watch a continuous hour long + HD flight over the world.

    POLL: Who flies beyond VLOS?

It is important to note that vlos is so varied and the rules usefulness is questionable in many instances. For example, if you are flying at 250' above ground level and are about 300' away, and you fly towards the sunset, if you are blinded when trying to look at your bird but can see through...

Tired of getting harassed when flying my sUAS

Man i feel for you real hard. I live in rural Western North Carolina and people here HATE drones. The only responses i get are people threatening me or my drone with violence. People are so uneducated and make huge assumptions that are entirely incorrect. It's sad. I am going to try that...
