The white clip has a black lever at the back. Flip it up to unlock the ribbon cable.

...because I'm wondering if you can remove the 30-pin connector plate from the 2D and attach it to the 3D. Need to know if the other end of the 30-pin connector on the 2D attaches via the same ribbon cable as the 3D. Seems like it might. If it does, seems like a pretty straightforward job.

I preordered mine from B&H as soon as it was listed. Got a version 1.1 I called them to ask if they had any version 1 units and they had no idea what I was talking about.

Wouldn't be against that. Have to wonder, though, if anything will be done about this before the GoPro 4 comes out and nothing fits anyway.
