Well you can say what you like about the Inspire but it's hard to deny it turns out a great video. Well done. I'm not surprised this is proving very popular. Nice editing and the music compliments it well.
Apology accepted although I can't say I was really that offended. I was more confused by your response.
When speaking of apologies, "Getting our jollies" wasn't meant to be derogatory. If it came across that way then I'm sorry. That's the problem communicating with text. The subtleties and sub...
Same as sergekouper. It's a way to get a camera to fly. I can't seem to get any jollies at all out of flying and really can't relate to those that do. The sooner I'm back on the ground safely with my photos the happier I am.
I don't us a Gopro myself but this might be of interest to those that do.

I have a Sony A5000 camera hanging off mine. It has a total weight of 1440 grams, which is right on the limit. When the battery hits the low level mark and reduces power it tends to drop out of the sky.
I've used a range finder a lot for archery. Based on my experience I think it would be a phantom at distance would be an extremely difficult target to get a fix and reading on. IMO it would be too small unless it was a particularly sophisticated range finder.
Everything you say here is correct. The Operators Certificate (OC) is basically paperwork orientated and involves documentation regarding maintenance and operating procedures and the like. In short, an OC for operating UAV's has the same requirements for someone who operates a charter fleet of...
During a recent UAV training course I was told that the changes to CASA legislation may now be delayed to 2016, which is a long way past the original date of April 2015. Bear in mind that this is just hearsay.
I've completed my RPAS etc at some cost to myself but in all honesty I think the...

Re: Has Anyone Used a Camera like Coolpics 9700 on a Phantom
If you use a Canon point & shoot you can do a CHDK modification to the software (non destructive). This will give you the option of a intervolometer.
I have mounted a Sony A5000 on my PV. You can download a Time Lapse App which is...
A word of warning. I have a Sony a5000 under my P2. I handles the extra weight just fine up till you get to 20% battery remaining. Then the power reduction kicks in and the copter falls out of the sky, even if you hit full ascend on the sticks.
I also agree with MonsieurAnon . You'll have to...
