Has anyone considered if it is possible to swap out the 5.8 radio on the Phantom 1 for the Phantom 2.4GHz radio? This would upgrade the Phantom 1 to work with the new Phantom 2 transmitter plus you could control the GoPro with your Andriod or iPhone with the GoPro app on 2.4 without interference.

VRS was called settling with power in helicopter training... Most common on still days (no wind) and near vertical descents. The helicopter gets caught in its own downwash and more collective (pitch in the rotor blades) only exacerbates the problem. The fix is to nose over and get forward...

The only video since putting the gimbal on is the Golf Driving Range vid. All the others were taken with the GoPro mounted directly on the Phantom. Have a great day!

Yes flew for SW Air Ambulance in LRU (las cruces, nm) and for Native Air in Lake Havasu, AZ. A-Star 350's. R U getting 12 minutes out of a single lipo or duals? I haven't added the gimbal yet and only get 10 minutes with dual batteries.

Yes... I did double up on my batteries (2x 2200Ma) and was thinking of adding a third in the battery bay which is empty right now. Have not checked the flight time yet as I am still configuring. I was thinking about a really long extension cord too. :lol:
