Wtb: phantom 3 adv or pro

Hi Brad, I'm in NC as well, and may be about to sell my P3A. I'm in talks to buy a P4P, and if I get it, I'll be selling my P3A. It's in excellent condition, 2 batteries, softcase, etc... No crashes ever. If it's something you might be interested in, let me know and we'll talk.

Nvidia Shield k1 android 6.0 compass issue

I never did find a way, and it was all kinds of annoying. Now that they've fixed the compass issue, why do you want to hold off on the marshmallow upgrade? I did it the other day, and the only real difference I've seen so far is the way it handles SD card storage. You have to decide between...

    Best tablet for DJI GO

Also, the native HDMI out is fantastic. I hooked my shield up via HDMI cable to a 27" monitor in the back of my car and ran it off an inverter. I was able to show all my coworkers what I was seeing without them having to peer over my shoulder as I flew. It was awesome. :)

    Best tablet for DJI GO

What do you mean about the Shield's battery life? Mine has great battery. I can fly several packs before even thinking about having to recharge. I have to charge my DJI remote more often than my Shield. I've been nothing but thrilled with my Shield. I can't imagine the iPad being better, and...

Tablets and phones that work well with DJI GO

Not to be "that guy", but have you read any of this thread? Have you tried searching for "zenpad 8"? There's lots of info out there. You'll probably get a quicker answer that way... Short answer: not very well. It seems to suffer from video lag.

Tablets and phones that work well with DJI GO

If you browse this thread, there's a fairly clear guide. Also, searching for "side load dji app" returns tons of info. However, I realize sometimes this is too much, so here you go... How to side load an app (general tutorial, not specific to the DJI app) Alternatively, Phantomhelp.com has a...

Tablets and phones that work well with DJI GO

The nVidia Shield K1 is tough to beat. It's only $200 from Amazon, rocks the DJI app with no issues, has built-in HDMI-out (which works great for sharing your flight with a crowd via an external TV), and fits the remote holder with no issues. If you're trying to keep to a budget, that's the one...

Tablets and phones that work well with DJI GO

God info Oso, thanks! I'll look into that when I can. Sounds like I need to do the hack, since I'm not getting much range. It's odd, since I live in a fairly rural area, with only my own wi-fi and whatever cellular is in the area. Otherwise, my neighborhood is virtually empty, EM-wise.

What's this channel hack of which you speak? I'm intrigued! The best I get is about 1600' before it get low video signal warnings and framerate dropouts.

Tablets and phones that work well with DJI GO

I honestly don't fully understand wifi channels myself, but basically it's like there's a base frequency (2.4Ghz) and then sub-frequencies (maybe minor variations or possibly something totally unrelated) that allow data to travel on the same base freq without crashing headlong into the other...

Tablets and phones that work well with DJI GO

Ok, couple things... 1) Did you get the Tab 4 7" or 10"? There's a big difference in performance. The 7" is much faster. 2) If you actually read the 1st page of recommendations, you'd notice that the Galaxy Tab 4 (any size) is NOT a recommended device

It may have hopped to a cleaner channel. You can go to the video transmission settings page while in flight, and it will show you the signal strength, current channel, etc... You can also makes changes from there, such as manually choosing a channel. It's possible that your lack of interference...

Tablets and phones that work well with DJI GO

That's a pretty good reason! So you really only have the video problem during takeoff and landing? Or does it persist during the flight, even when the aircraft itself is away from the router, but you (and the remote) are close to it?
