OAK airport notification number goes to voicemail

The number AirMap lists for Oakland International Airport in Oakland, CA. is 510-563-6436. That goes to a voicemail box for Matt Davis, Manager of Airport Operations. He lists a general number for Airport Operations of 510-563-3361. When I called that number, they told me to call the local FAA...

Beta firmware now available for Standard

DJI posted another new firmware, still can't unlock OAK NFZ.

Has anyone successfully unlocked a NFZ?

Interesting, I never tried it because I'd heard the opposite, that the NFZ's are uploaded to the bird, so it doesn't matter what app you use, they're still there.

Has anyone successfully unlocked a NFZ?

That does help, and confirms what I think the issue is. His NFZ in the GO app is yellow, as it should be, but the NFZ around Oakland Airport (94502) is Red in GO, even though it's Yellow and Green in the unlock website: More NFZ BS

Has anyone successfully unlocked a NFZ?

Funny! But, seriously, the "don't fly within 5 miles of an airport" is just a guideline, not law. Unlocking a NFZ isn't illegal.

    Serial Number for Unlock NFZ

I have the same problem, with a Standard, using Android beta firmware and GO

    Serial Number for Unlock NFZ

What format is the serial number in? I can't tell what's a number 0 and what's the letter O

Has anyone successfully unlocked a NFZ?

If so, can you post here which NFZ it was, which Phantom, which firmware/go you have? I'm trying to debug why it won't work for me, and would like to ask some more questions.

Can I opt out of a NFZ? Or is it a NFZ? DJI Maps conflict.

The geo system beta maps aren't accurate either: More NFZ BS

sexiest photos you have taken with P3S.

Downtown San Francisco in the top left, Downtown Oakland in the top right. Taken back before DJI put this area inside a 5 mile radius red restricted NFZ.

    New firmware 15/03/3016

Does this contain GEO / NFZ changes from the beta firmware?

Beta firmware now available for Standard

No, you have to use your serial number to request a NFZ unlock here: DJI - The World Leader in Camera Drones/Quadcopters for Aerial Photography Unfortunately you can't copy and paste your serial, and can't tell if they contain zero's or oh's.

Beta firmware now available for Standard

I just updated via sd card in the camera, updated fine, but still can't takeoff. I requested 3 different unlocks because I can't tell if the serial number is 0's or O's, but in any case none worked. Still grounded.

Beta firmware now available for Standard

It is, but if you have current firmware there is no way to unlock a NFZ without it.

    More NFZ BS

I think everyone would agree that flying below the tree line, a mile away from a runway is perfectly safe and responsible. DJI's limits remove all common sense decision making from the operator, and implement crude restrictions because they're too lazy to come up with more intelligent ones...
