    Desert Test Flight

Just make sure to enable the option to RTH in the DJI Go app if you lose connection between the RC and the aircraft. I set my maximum altitude at 200ft and my maximum distance at 500ft...always keeping visual LOS. I rarely fly much further than that.

    Desert Test Flight

Yep. I started out at a pretty low speed and gradually increased when I was sure the P4 could keep up. I wasn't much of a fan of the desert growing up, but ever since I started flying it's become the best place to go and just get away. :D

    Desert Test Flight

Yep, I was driving; had the RC in the passenger seat.

    Desert Test Flight

After a week of being grounded due to high winds, I was finally able to take the Phantom 4 out to my favorite spot in the desert (west of El Paso, Texas) for a proper test flight. I was especially eager to try out the Active Track feature in an area with very few tall objects/obstructions. I...

Lots of complaining, anyone enjoying there p4?

After having flown a P2V, P2V+, P3A and an Inspire 1...I didn't think that I would be this impressed with the P4. The build quality is excellent, and the image quality easily surpasses the X3 on the Inspire 1. Yesterday, I flew the P4 in some pretty strong gusts of wind; it held up extremely...

    Phantom 4 Name

After seeing some of the Active Track videos...I'm now starting to think Hunter Killer might be a better name. :p

My good lady is not impressed

    So much truth.

    I envisioned jail time.

About a month ago, I was driving through the mountains west of Denver on the way to Blackhawk, CO. I noticed a stream that was frozen, so I pulled off to the side of the road to take a few pictures. I was just about to fly my P3A when I was stopped by a park ranger. The ranger informed me...

    Phantom 4 Name

So, for those that are purchasing a Phantom 4...what are you planning on naming it? I'm debating going with EVE (from WALL-E). :D

Leaked photos of the Phantom 4

This must be the new Galaxy-class Phantom; it has a very strong Enterprise-D resemblance. :D

    Naming your drone.

Phantom 3 - Prometheus (from the Ridley Scott film) Inspire 1 - Endurance (from Interstellar)

    DJI Inspire

The flight characteristics/features are mostly the same...although, the wider spread of the landing gear on the Inspire 1 helps prevent tip-overs while landing. Personally, I prefer to launch from a folding table and hand-catch when landing...as it keeps dirt/debris off the camera lens, and...

    DJI Inspire

Yes and no. With the X3 camera, I don't really notice the difference when flying versus the P3. With the X5, I definitely notice the difference. That being said, with all quadcopters...it really comes down to planning your flights/shots in advance. If you're ultimately going to make a 2-3...

    DJI Inspire

Agree on all points. I recently purchased the X5 camera for better low-light/night photos/videos...and while there's been a bit of a learning curve, I'm pleased with the results thus far. I'm also looking forward to the XT...and will hopefully be able to put the Inspire 1 to use in different...
