Both tablets are able to upgrade to Lollipop from what I understand, I think the Nexus 7II is a solid choice but the faster CPU in the Tab S is favorable. If I hadn't found both tablets at these prices I wouldn't be here trying to decide

I have excellent PC desktop and laptop, no question 4K for me. You don't need to have a 4K TV to get the benefits of 2160P. Just watch one of the many Youtube uploads if you need proof.
Thanks for this, yes it looks like the best android is right around the corner. I'll make due with my Samsung S5 for now and wait for the Tab S 2. I was going to spring for an Air 2 but I use PC and Android so I was feeling uncomfortable about it.

olesc I am a quartermaster on Coast Guard ships, the Mate or the Captain gives me commands to steer. I guess if my tablet is only upgradable to Kitkat then I will be better off using my S5 phone or getting that Nexus 7 2nd gen.

I will be picking up a P3P in a few days and flying directly north to a remote area of Canada there is WIFI but no cellular coverage. The tablet I have is a Note 8.0 It is the GT-N5110 WIFI only version running 4.4.2 Kitkat. I am hoping this will work well and also fit the tablet...
