Your correct macman. I find 1 card plenty for a day but when travelling it saves taking laptops etc.

The problem with the apple time capsule is you still need a laptop or some way to put the files on the time capsule. the WD you just plug the sd card in and it autosaves to the HD and no other device required. connect your phone and you can browse the HD and even the SD thats plugged in

Before you put in the SD card you have to tell the wifi drive what you want it to do when a cards are inserted. You can 1/ do nothing, 2/copy everything on the card to the HD, 3/ Sync the card (don't use this), 4/ delete card when copy complete.

Just curious. In your state how close are you allowed to fly to people not involved in the filming. In Australia what you did is illegal just for safety reasons. Flying 10 to 15 feet from someone without there permission is just dumb.

In that case how does the dji go app know when an update is required as it cannot connect to the internet to check. Also it use to work fine as it is designed to connect for constant map updates.

Of course doing that will give you the maps. After doing that once you restart dji go with the rc off it will access the maps on data as there is no wifi connection. Once i connect again to the phantom wifi i lose the data. Some of the map will stay as it is cached,.

Tried reinstalling still no good

This is very frustrating. I am using an S5 connected to my phantom 3 standard with wifi. My data is turned on but it will not download google maps. Although this is not a major problem as I can cache the maps. but how will I be able to update the firmware next time as it will not be able to...
