That's awesome news... Thank you for that update.
I was told I would hear from engineering but I never did.
You didn't happen to ask them about the odd firmware version did you?
It looks like the standard battery that came with the drone has a bad cell (possibly 2). With a full charge, one cell reports about 0.2v below the others. I say possibly two because I get the warning message twice, but the other cells all seem to be within 0.01v of each other so I don't know...
Well they did want to know what phone I was using with my P4P+...
Which makes me wonder if their "support" staff really know anything at all or are just walking through the closest canned script they can find. Very frustrating.
I'll start another thread and see if I can get someone that knows...
[Note: This is lifted from my other thread on missing map caching functionality for the P4P+ controller, but I thought it deserved to be it's own discussion thread. I also posted this in the DJI forum]
I noticed a discrepancy in the version numbers for the Pro+ Controller between what is...
I guess I'm specifically interested in the Phantom version... Not sure why they chose to make it aircraft specific but oh well. If there is no official version, is there an unofficial version?
Thanks,
Don
I spent about an hour in a DJI support chat session on Monday (Sep 3). The result of which, was a referral of my issue to the engineering team. I have not heard back from them yet.
One thing I noticed while investigating this issue is a discrepancy in the version numbers for the Pro+...

I just updated my controller to the latest firmware (Version V1.4.1.0) and I no longer see the "Cache Map in the Background" setting on the general settings menu. And the Maps icon on the home screen does nothing. What gives?
More of just a curiosity question. Seems like DJI should allow this since the auto pilot would know it is within a certain distance of a fixed obstacle while in the process of avoiding it.
I have a question about the how auto RTH feature sees the 500m hard coded altitude limit that I'm afraid to do a test for...
I have a range of small mountains nearby that I'd like to explore but I believe the highest peak is slightly over the 500m firmware altitude limit. My question is this...
For most of September 2017, I had my P4P+ for sale on eBay... I had a lot of nibbles and some ridiculously low offers, but nothing solid. The closer my auction got to the end date, the happier I was that no one decided to grab it. I did not re-list it.
The reason I was going to sell it was...
