    New to me

I've only just got my old P1 back out- it's been some time, so my memory is a bit dull on the subject. But I do remember this issue coming up a lot back in the day. As suggested previously, the starting point is the motors. These got damaged by the removal of prop guards but the same longer...

    P1 fast flashing reds.

Monte55- another name I remember from the early P1 days! Yes- I'm talking about the single status led- that changed from slow greens, to fast reds, and back to slow greens. And then I took no chances and landed ASAP.

    P1 fast flashing reds.

Thanks guys- guess I'm going to bite the bullet and buy a new battery, given that the present one is some 7 years old! Though I might be able to squeeze a few flights- the assistant is showing current voltage of 12.3 and the 1st level protection is set at 11.2.

    P1 fast flashing reds.

It's been some while since I looked in here. But I dug out my old P1. Everything fired up OK- and it flew as good as the day I bought it. I had a full set of greens and 'home lock' had confirmed. Then [in flight] I got fast reds for a moment or two. The craft flew normally though and the LEDs...

    To build a quad

I think that the DJI F350 will be hard to find- and the knock off copies are poor. In your shoes I would consider the F450 kit and look around for one complete with a Naza v2 and GPS. That way you've got most of what you need when you decide to upgrade to an F550!

Naza M V2 unresponsive during flight mode switching

Might be worth posting in "other multi- rotor" section, failing that it's RC Group for specialised stuff like this

This just in, apparently drone users are "paedophiles"

The 'Daily Star' is a UK publication aimed at people with, shall we say, unusual tendencies. None of their stories are based on fact. That said- if any of their readership were to be let loose with a camera, let alone a UAV, the footage would be questionable to say the least.

    Phantom tips over (Weight?)

I've never seen that option. Anyway, to solve your problem, give it full throttle to launch it clear of the ground- then back off when above 10 ft.

using a Phantom II flight controller in a550 frame set up help needed

The assistant only sees the onboard receiver. The receiver, in turn, talks to your transmitter. Without knowing what receiver you have- it is hard to comment. Have you confirmed that the TX is bound to the Rx. I would guess that the mode should be S-bus or D-bus

Phantom 1.1.1. Water Damage, now only 2 motors work...

Assuming the motors turn freely, I would guess at the speed controllers. Do all the ESC Leds light up? You may have to try swapping out known good motors.

    Replacement v 1.1.1 receiver antennas

You need a Phantom spare part No. 31 Phantom 1 Receiver (Dual Antenna) Part 31 – Dronefly

    DJI Phantom 1 V1.1.1 Remote

Yes- just check with the seller that it is a 2.4Ghz.

using a Phantom II flight controller in a550 frame set up help needed

I stand to be corrected- but I don't think a P2 Naza can be set up to control a hex. (6 motors) You need a Naza M v2 (from a late P1 or an FC40) The Naza assistant is not interested which transmitter you have- it only sees the receiver that you have got connected.

    Wow lipo Fire!

Beats me why anyone would deliberately over-current a lipo. Just to make a video clip?!

Real world test of the RF-V16 GPS Tracker

Just a couple of steps to make the RFv16 easier to use when not using data. Text > goff# < This causes the tracker to immediately send GPS coordinates (and turns off default data upload setting) Then text > tim,1# < This prevents the tracker from going to sleep, requiring multiple texts to...
