I sometimes will go to the trouble of connecting my drone to the app through the remote and all that just to hold the drone and pan manually if I really need a shot, but its nothing in comparison to flying it..

Just return it and save to buy a p4 or mavic. At the very least something with the better controller. I've had my P3S and I'm very unhappy with it. It's had so many problems.

I just went out today to see some northern lights (aurora borealis) and maybe get some shots at what I thought was a provincial park - turns out it's a national park. I've had my fun playing with the drone as a toy through hundreds of flights, now I want to use it as a tool to capture memories...

Train engines communicate with RF frequencies so it could cause issues if you get too close depending on what frequency they use.

Dang dude your gimbal is having a brain aneurysm. The gimbal doesn't obviously look broken so hopefully its a simple fix as stated above. Hope you get it fixed.

So I had a little flyaway type incident today while flying my P3S over a river. Crazy amounts of interference and I can't think of anything that might cause it. No cell towers in sight (At least that I could see or find on google maps), or anywhere near enough to location to cause issues. I...

The P3S does amazing for its age, but when shooting anything with detail it is lacking. Just waiting for my next vacation or road trip and some nice weather to get some more shots with it.

I did the same thing in my first month with the drone. Was looking at screen and getting footage of the sky. Lost connection with bird, then compass error then RTH and the thing was at my local gas station 3 blocks away. Took 15 min to get back though because massive winds.

Depends on where OP is. If in USA then if pilot maintains VLOS while off property there is no trespassing as FAA controls airspace from a blade of grass upwards; airspace isn't owned by property owners below said airspace

Have you dropped the controller? I had this issue and I just opened up the controller and found a connection had came undone so i popped it back in and closed up the remote and was good to go.
