That is more what I was thinking. I was well away from the power lines at the time of the malfunction. Several times I have flown off the road as a starting point as it is the only level place to take off, proceeded under or over the lines, and then on with a regular flight without ever having...
Hi Jeff,
Thank you for the kind words!
Actually I use Adobe Premiere Pro for all of my edits. I have never used the others. I was never taught, so it has been more or less a trial and error basis to learn how to edit my videos
So many awesome channels in this thread, I've been going through and subbing to them.
My channel is:
Daniel Amann
I make a new video every day about whatever but pretty much always focus around footage I got from my drone. The channel trailer, called "THE BEST MOVIE I HAVE EVER MADE" is a...
Hi all,
This video is a collection of what I have created after two weeks with my first drone (Phantom 4). Throughout 2017 I have been making a new video daily to push my creativity, and now after two weeks of doing that I released todays video, which is a collection of my favorite shots from...
Interesting. So how big of a disturbance could a standard neighborhood electrical line really cause? 50 feet? 100 feet? My drone was quite a ways off from the lines when it started losing control. I'm glad to know about this now and not later down the road.
Interesting. I have flown closer to them than I was on this flight with no issues before, so I consider myself lucky I hadn't encountered this already. Glad to hear about this now and know for future flights
Wait, what? There were no workers, no work being done, and I saved my own drone by going and picking it up. Not sure where you got that part because that isn't true. There are lines that run through the area but that is all
Definitely. Peoples unwillingness to accept fault or listen to others only holds them back, and thus I always try to be open to discussions and hear people out. Many many many people know much much much more than I do.
I wasn't actually in the trees, I was in the field flying toward and above the trees. Most all my flights have been in wooded areas (it is where I live) and I know I didn't lose RC signal. The drone only went haywire down well below the tree line and fairly close to me as well. It was between me...
Actually now that you mention it, there are, though the only time I went near them was when it spiraled underneath them on its crash course. Otherwise the first 5 minutes of the flight were completely the other way. Do power lines actually have the capability to cause interference? From what I...
I appreciate this perspective. I do agree that at times I get, maybe overconfident isn't the best word...but rather complacent with my drone. It has always acted exactly how I intended until this point so it was absolutely unexpected when I lost total control. Fortunately I have always been...
