I've recently changed the stock landing gear for the extended landing gear and mounted my compass on the vertical section of the right rear leg far away from anything else. The receiver antennas are on the front right and rear left legs. I notice in the Phantom RC Assistant software there is...
I had the same issues so I bought the latest expensive immersonic fat shark cloverleaf RP-SMA antenna set and they are not as good as the stock DJI cloverleafs so be aware. In the end I used a right angle RP-SMA adapter (£2.15) and that put my stock antenna down below the gimbal. - Perfect!
I have an unused set of two landing gear legs for the P2 in unlanded condition :) I've just fitted the wide and tall legs to my yet unflown P2 with 3D Zen. £10 including postage to any mainland UK address. I take PayPal, Visa or bank transfer. Thanks.
I've just received my new Phantom 2 with 3D Zenmuse and I have no need for the controller that came with it. It is brand new and has not been used. I'm asking £75 for it to include delivery to mainland UK. Item location is Nailsea near Bristol. I can take PayPal, Visa etc or bank transfer...
I regularly descend at 4m/s down to 50ft then at 2m/s below that.It makes funny whirring noises with fast decent. I do ensure I don't have left stick at full limit so as not to trigger prop switch off.
Thanks for the comments. I borrowed ideas for the Yaw rate modification from another forum user on here: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showpost ... count=2990 then I modified and simplified his design a bit leaving out a bypass switch. I had to cut into the controller wiring loom, extend and re...
The total cost of mods was £18.30 using Ebay for my pots, resistors and control knobs. The stock controller is spot on for what I want. It gives really smooth video control, has excellent range and is dead easy to use. I'll probably migrate to a Futuba when I get a big hairy Quadcopter but for...
I put a dual gang pot in circuit with the left controller to give a variable yaw rate from 20% to 100%. ( you need 100% to get the rotors to start up, then you can dial it down to 20% for the flight). I also put a 1k single gang linear pot plus fixed resistors in the gamble tilt circuit. Both...
All done and here is the result: http://vimeo.com/89436766 Super smooth yaw function and along with my modified gimbal tilt I can now make decent movies. This was my first flight post stock controller modifications and with a bit more practice I'll be ready to make arty movies :)
I've modified my stock P2 controller to give me smooth Yaw and gimbal tilt and here is my first mini video using a non vision P2: http://vimeo.com/89436766 it's only 3 minutes but you can see the potential of the P2 as a video production tool :)
Wow Steve,
Thanks for this info. It is just what I'm after, you are a star! It has saved me hours of tinkering and now for just £7.62 I've ordered the parts I need to have adjustable yaw rate function. Roll on nice smooth camera moves :)
Thank you, Damien.
