    Rant....

I have had my P3 for about 13 months and I just recently discovered 2 stress cracks. Granted, I don't fly as often and as far as many on this forum but I consider myself lucky to have lasted this long without incident. I debated whether to try and shore up (strengthen) my motor mounts using...

    Battery Storage

Ken, I don't believe Numone was calling you stupid but implying that if one has mistreated their batteries to the point that they catch fire then one must be stupid. Either way it's not appropriate. Sometimes carelessness is all it takes. Taking precaution is prudent.

    P3 Pro buying guides

Raul, I don't think you will have an issue connecting your device to the used aircraft remote. On a different note, I wanted to comment on a TV documentary I saw a few years back called "Land of the Falling Lakes" This documentary was about the Plitvice Lakes in Croatia. I was absolutely...

Price Question on a P3 Pro

Actually I was referring to the model and specs. First gen iPad mini or iPad mini 2,3 or 4? 16,32,64,128GB? Wi-Fi only or with 4G LTE (AT&T, Sprint, Verizon, T-Mobile or unlocked) These things can determine value range on iPad in addition to the condition.

Price Question on a P3 Pro

If all are in good condition I would think $1500-$1800. Would help to know more about the iPad mini.

Severe prop damage without any contact?

As long as any flight took place using the DJI Go app then there should be record of the flight itself. Video evidence would depend on whether you have caching turned on.

    iOS 10 & DJI

I too updated my dedicated iPad mini and had no issues flying this past weekend.

Taking Off With Less Than 100% Battery?

Maybe I'm pressing my luck but I have flown after takeoff with less than 80% quite a few times. This however has been after a previous short flight on the same battery that was within a day or hours of the subsequent flight. I probably would not try it at anything less than 50%. I also very...

Exchanging Phantom 4 for Phantom 3 Professional

Replacement motors are readily available for both the Hubsan and Syma. I have not done a motor replacement on my Symas yet but one of the three does need one. It's a matter of disassembling the shell and unsoldering the original and re soldering the replacement. I don't think it's hard as long...

Exchanging Phantom 4 for Phantom 3 Professional

I don't think you will find a brushless quad that is suitable for indoor flight unless you are talking about inside a hangar or large gymnasium. They are just too fast and powerful to fly inside your home. There are lots of brushed motor quads that are great for indoors though. Try and stick...

    Minor Crash and Gimbal Separation

LOL! So true.... When you start bragging that you've never crashed and try little stunts like I did, Karma gets you.

    Minor Crash and Gimbal Separation

Hey guys, I had a low altitude crash with my P3P where I attempted to go through a racing gate and I clipped the side of the gate which sent my P3 to the ground. It was only a few feet up so it wasn't a terribly hard landing. It was violent enough to cause my gimbal to detach from the mounts and...

4K and no video editor is dumb!

I have an Acer laptop with a Core I5 1.7ghz, 4GB RAM and Intel HD 4000 video that plays 4K video files just fine using Windows Media Player. My display is only 1920x1080 so I don't technically get to see it in 4K but it does playback just fine. I could still edit and render 4K output if I wanted...

    Buy Phantom 2 or Not?

I guess from my perspective, the P2 I have does not benefit from some of the automation from a pilot app such as DJI Go. It is essentially a little more of a manual flying process. If I put it into Atti mode it also seems to be slightly more aggressive than the P3 but not by a lot. You of course...
