I started this thread back in November......and now that I been flying a while....the obvious answer is to use Lichti and have it land in her parking lot. Might lose radio contact, but the program will complete the mission regardless. She picks up the Phantom...and her key. Happy wife...Happy...

A few questions about Litchi.... 1) If you lose RC contact with the Phantom on an extended mission...I assume the camera is still recording to the card although you do not see the image on the ipad, and will see the full vid/pics programmed in the mission upon return. Just wanted to confirm...

Re: RTH - I never really need it either. I often fly by just the map or the display. The image doesn't lie, it's still up there. The poster seemed to indicate it (RTH) was a risky proposition. My point was I don't consider it risky at all and IT WORKS. And nice to have when you fly out...

RTH is risky? Really? I use is it almost every time I fly...love to watch the bird come in on its own. School teacher and it blows the kids away every time. I give a PP lesson on GPS and then take the bird up outside. You either trust the technology or you don't. Well over 250 flights...

My wife works about 1.3 miles from our house, with only a couple of houses between here and there. I have flown over to her place of work a few times.....but when I tried to land there (huge parking lot) I lost signal at about 100 feet and of course RTH kicked in. She recently forgot a key to...

It was the .bin service file I loaded onto the formatted (original) card. Not the .zip file. I unzipped it and put the .bin file on the card. Like the previous attempts, the Phantom just didn't read the card. Spent another hour chatting with DJI and they agreed there is something wrong...

So......got up this morning. Formatted different card, loaded it and let it go for another 2 hours. Didn't work. Downloaded the service.bin file onto another FAT32 formatted card and loaded it. Same thing. Just Beeps repeatedly. My deduction is that the card is just not being read for some...

C0ps - what happens when I turn it on.....the camera does the little dance like normal...then the beeping starts....then a few seconds after that the camera goes limp face down. So it was face down for the 2+ hours. I can take a vid and post it if you think that would help with a diagnostic.
