I'm good! I'll skip this app.
My aviation apps will let me know where Class B and C airspace is. I'm very familiar with the D airspace near me and since E is 'everywhere else' I only have to stay out of class A. If my UAS reaches class A airspace then I would have probably set some record!
Happy with the update now that you have that figured out Squiddley?
Still using the stock firmware, in fear... Finally got enough gumption to give it a shot tonight....
GOM player is another good one that I use. Go cautiously through the install however, bloatware may be installed of you don't click "more details" on one step of the installation!
Very true. A little different on the fixed wing side, when you file a flight plan you better be very aware of any TFRs. They are pounded into your head in the flight brief you must do prior to every flight. I just like to make darn sure I'm not one of those pilots cruising on through a TFR. I...
Sorry, I copied it after I went to the page. The correct link is: http://tfr.faa.gov
If you are interested in getting email notifications a few days prior to the TFR going up, you can sign up at www.faasafety.gov.
Here is an example of the notice you will get via email:
The 'Official' source of all TFR info can be found at http://tfr.faa.gov/tfr2/. You can also sign up to be emailed when there is a new TFR posted for your area. I have mine sent to both my email and my phone via SMS. I do this more for the flying airplanes then for the UASs, but works the same!
Welp I've read through this whole thread and am sitting on my couch just shaking my head....
This thread has gone so many different ways that it'll take a jeweler to figure out how many carats are here.
I'm going to keep my reply short and sweet.
I've been in LE for over 21 years and I can...
As far as the legalities of dropping objects from aircraft in the USA, this is covered under FAR 91.15.
No pilot in command of a civil aircraft may allow any object to be dropped from that aircraft in flight that creates a hazard to persons or property. However, this section does not prohibit...
I've actually read three threads, but as usual the opinions vary from hot to cold. Just looking for the most recent opinions about the latest version of updates. Pardon the repetitiveness.
Really two questions...
1) Just got my new P3A via UPS today. I've had to shelf all my P2+V3 stuff (Batteries, chargers, parts/pieces). When I look at the props I had that came with the P2+V3, they look identical to the ones that came with the P3A. Anyone know of any difference?
2) So, brand...
Wow! That's awesome then! I'm leaning toward the P3A - A little cheaper, good enough camera for me, and if it comes with the Light Bridge, I'm in! That was something I wanted to do with my P2+ V3 but obviously that isn't going to happen!
Headed over to B&H now... Thanks to you guy's help, I'm...
Looking at the options for the Phantom 3 Advanced with 2.7K Camera, there is an option for Light Bridge and one for just WiFi. Does it come with everything you need for Light Bridge? I remember when I was shopping a little over a year ago for my last drone that Light Bridge had to be bought...
