I would have thought that would encourage a tip over, rather than stop it. They would be far more likely to snag on the ground and tip it end over end. Not to mention the daft point on the end. It's a "FAIL" from me.

I flew my P2V+ with a P2V No problems at all between those.

It could be like MPG or l/100km though... In a windless room, using a test rig etc etc, the battery life is X... In the real world however, it's X-n where n equals any number of variables.

This thread doesn't make great reading for a prospective Flytrex Live buyer :( My main reason for purchase was in case of flyaway and if it can't report it's live flights correctly, then what's the point? Might as well stick with the TK102B tracker.

Met up with CallMeAlan this morning with our p2v's had a good flight. Definitely worth meeting local owners!

Based on that the... it was a huge success :) I launched as suggested, popped the throttle, jumped to 6ft and hovered lovely. It didn't move around too much, so no TBE? :lol: Took some video, hand caught landings, so all in all a good first flight.

So I had my first flight today... It seemed happy enough but I couldn't force a compass update for some reason.
