Loud beeping (very loud) for 7 minutes when upgrading the P3P firmware to v1.4.0010. Then it stopped and the familiar x-xx sound of file transfer started. Is this the new normal ?

I use the Marco Polo from www.UAVfind.com. The Trakimo is less but uses the 2G cellular network. We are now a 4G world with 3G also. ATT is phasing out 2G and all the Trackimo locators will have to be replaced. The Marco Polo is 900 MHz and the sleep mode for the rechargeable battery is 8 days...

Must have is a Marco Polo drone locator from www.UAVfind.com. If you have ever had lost drone this locator will take you right to your drone up to a mile away. Cheap insurance !!

You can get over a mile range with the UAVfind.com system and its not GPS and won't interfere with DJI electronics. About $200 but cheap insurance..

I needed a locator solution that had at least a mile range as I fly and shoot large wooded homesite acreage. Look into the UAVfind.com field recovery system. It uses the 900mhz spectrum and won't interfere with DJI's electronics. Mine has become standard equipment on a daily basis. Good luck...

You might look into the small tracker from UAVfind.com. We keep one on the P3 all the time. It sure makes search and rescue a lot easier.
