I have, for a while now, been weighing up the possibility of making the move from hobby pilot to commercial pilot and would like to take some advice from any UK based commercial pilots. Are there any U.K based pilots on here, who could offer some help and advice via a PM? Thanks in advance.

Well, it's been a few weeks since I had chance to come on here much, but I thought I would update this thread, rather than start yet another one. To save anyone having to read back through the whole saga, a brief summary: Bought P3P in Oct 2016 Had an "accident" with it in Nov 2016 - whereby...

The price points is a good explanation, but still bugs me. Things in the U.K., for example, are still more expensive to buy than the same product in the US and no one can persuade me that the UK is richer that the US! Some of the issues raised on this and other forums tell a sorry tale for DJI...

So annoying that you can buy the same item so much cheaper abroad! I suppose that's the UK for you though-we always seem to get stiffed paying loads extra for stuff here, especially electrical/electronic items. The one and only thing that is of concern, is if I had to return it, because DJI...

Just had another thought..... if I was to buy a P4P whilst on holiday, would I have to pay import tax coming back through customs?

After my recent issues with DJI repair service, I have concerns about having to return anything to them in future, but I know it's a possibility! The extra shipping times & cost of shipping would be a bugger, but a £600 saving is a huge chunk of money!

Hi Guys, I'm going away on holiday this week and it's looking more likely (in fact almost certain!) that my P3P won't be back from DJI in time for me to take it away with me. I have had a look at prices where I am travelling to (Malaysia) and the cost there for a P4Pro is significantly less...

Seems very hit and miss whether they will replace the shell due to stress cracks! Many on here have had theirs replaced and others haven't, myself included. DJI will not even acknowledge the fact that it was sent in to them due to stress cracks, and have refused point blank to replace the shell.

I won't be paying anything, for very well known and documented manufacturing issue, when the drone is only 3 months old. If they refuse to budge then I will get it returned and buy some aftermarket reinforcement plates-but I won't pay DJI a penny more. The quote for £800+ has left a bitter...

Agreed and after Gary pointed out the reinforcement plates, I will be getting some of those.
