FC40, Go Pro Hero 3+ silver

I find mine charges from the wall socket but no lights. It gets warm.... I leave it plugged in ... It then goes. Cold when it is charged. Bizarre but seems to work!

Be aware that the rate of descent on the FC40 in RTH mode exceeds that of the other phantoms... With 9' props it is very likely it will enter VRS in the latter stages of RTH. I use 9' props... Much better endurance and load capability... But make sure you know how to regain control if the beast...

You will find after the second stage that it will go straight to pre flight mode ... I.e. Green and red flashes (GPS mode) or Yellow and red flashes ( atti mode). Make sure the switch you flicked to get into cal. is "up". If you have green then red (1,2,or3) put it in the ground and wait.

I have found Hover (UK) not bad. Blue... Aerodrome Traffic Zones, para drop sites, etc Red... Danger areas, prohibited areas. I think also HIRTAs (high intensity radio transmission areas. I think if you click on them they tell you what they are. Timer is OK, and the front end is a onestop...

Hello, and welcome to the forum. I am in the UK too and am a little surprised you can find nowhere to fly locally... The CAA rules in the UK are pretty free. Are you too close to a town? Anyway, I can really recommend the Walkera G2D gimbal... I fitted one to my FC40 and am still getting 7-8...

Wet and windy... Unless they are considerably more robust than the current generation.

I can't see Amazon getting what they want in the UK. I also think our weather might be an issue!

Sorry... 450 sustained 550 short periods. Bit rusty... Only fly my phantom now!

Sorry, Zerone. Max speed in the UK Low Flying System is 420 kts sustained and I think 480 kts for short periods. Intercepting fighter can go up to 540 kts. Min height throughout the system is 250 ft msd except for certain tactical training areas (A limited area in Scotland for instance)...

Minimum altitude for most military jets through the UK is 250ft msd
