No problems here with a P4P paired with iPad mini 4.
I jumped android ship because my galaxy tab s2 was having problems and is not a recommended device.
Mini 4 has worked flawlessly. Still not a big apple fan, but hey, it works!
I got bored after awhile with my P3P, then I found Litchi ! Opened up a whole new realm of excitement for me.
That's why I got the P4P
I'm running with Ipad mini 4 and it works flawlessly.
I have no idea! It turns to home point, then turns back to original direction. You can tell that it starts to elevate as it returns. I was using DJI Go. I do have Litchi, but didn't use it that day.
Bottom Line is be safe! It's just a matter of time before some idiot or "nut job" does something really bad with one of these things and we're all grounded!
See video below of where I test the limits of mine. It would have to travel miles to reach civilization if something went terribly...
Almost 2 miles and lost line sight, well I should say communication.
Made a quick vid of what happened. Jump to the 2:15 mark to see where it disconnected.
This was done on my stock P3P - 11,000 ft. is the farthest I've had it. It took about a year to grow balls to go that far.
I decided just to take the S2 back to Best Buy and they refunded with no problem. Ordered an Apple mini 4 32GB online and should be here today.
All I could see is my bird flying away and DJI saying we can't help you because you used a non-recommended device.
The weather has been so crappy...
I just spoke with DJI support and all they could tell me is the S2 is not on their recommended list.
This sucks Donkey Balls - I really like the S2. I used a Samsung Note 8.0 with my P3P for a year and had zero issues.
