Just taking a quick flight around a pond in my neighborhood. Trying my hand at some light video editing and adding my own acoustic guitar tracks. I don't claim to be a professional in either field just having some fun. Thanks for your input.
Compared to our old P2s that sweet *** Lightbridge is a godsend. I don't care what they brand it as ... 720p, whatever bitrate, compression, or w/e it looks great hands down. Especially considering the distance at which you can fly and still have an awesome video down link.
Yes, absolutely. I have an iPad Mini 3 and it does the same thing if I try flying during the hottest parts of the day. I even had my iPad completely shut off and issue an warning saying it was too hot to operate. During the summer it will happen a lot but there's nothing wrong with either...
Overheating will cause exactly what you're experiencing. Ensure whatever device you're using to view your drones video is not in a case and has good ventilation. A sunshade also wouldn't hurt to keep the sun directly off of the device and reduce glare. Try flying later in the afternoon when the...
I like that they post a video of their product in action. I am also curious about these range extending solutions. I know FPVLR has two P3 solutions ...

For those of you who have the FPVLR kits for the P3 what kind of increased ranges are you getting? Does it really improve line of sight issues? Does it decrease lag on the video feed? Most importantly have you noticed any negative aspects from having the kit installed? I'm on the edge about...
Hopefully it does not cost too much considering the P3 isn't very old and there's already an upgrade for it. It would be a serious smack in the face to early adopters but given DJI's competitive pricing it should be fairly low.
My iPad mini 3 definitely heats up pretty bad during the mid-late portion of the flight just like the issues you're having. I find that caching my maps ahead of time, going into airplane mode, removing the iPad from its case and stopping all apps except DJI pilot app seems to help a lot my iPad...
I just did a test flight comparing my temperatures with Hardware Decode: Enabled vs Hardware Decode: Disabled. Both flights I flew 16 minutes each flying an aggressive flight profile going speeds of 30 MPH and continously varying altitude.
Enabled my battery temperature at the end of the...
Makes perfect sense, wish I had some cooler temperatures lol. This hot muggy climate makes me not want to be outside plus the sun glare (even with a screen shade) is terrible.
Also too if your battery gets too hot it'll effect the visual fidelity. Battery temps can be viewed under options and then select battery. I've noticed this with mine if flying very aggressively, during a really hot day, usually towards the last quarter of flight time when the battery has been...
