I think the FAA suggests 400 ft to avoid low flying aircraft. I set it much higher when I'm in the mountains.

I chose to beg forgiveness rather than ask permission. I was told to leave, but got some good footage first.

I take full screen "screenshots" if I'm on a 1080 monitor then paste them in Paint. Works good for a quick still.

If you have a channel scanner on your FPV, try getting 10 m or so away and scan for the best signal. Mine chooses 7 and I've gotten as far away as 1.1km with video on FPV still pretty good. I have the lilliput with stock antenna. I forgot to mention that I also use the ImmersionRC 600 mw...
